Discover our sustainable family business for rural toursim and forestry

The former mill is a family-run property on the edge of the Mullerthal hiking region. We live here with 3 generations and together we ensure the preservation of this special place surrounded by water sources.

We live sustainability and ecological principles on many levels. A special feature of the mill is that we generate green electricity with the help of a hydroelectric turbine and solar panels, which supplies the entire mill. The heating system on the property runs solely on locally produced wood chips. Depending on the season, we come close to self-sufficiency through the cultivation of vegetables.

In our forestry operation, we still use horses to transport tree trunks carefully out of the forest. In addition to forest work, we run a sawmill here at the mill. In a closed cycle, we produce high-quality charcoal from certified wood from the area, a unique product in Luxembourg.

The traditional holiday cottage, which is part of our mill where we live next door, is a private space for groups and families who come for hiking vacations, reunions or to discover Luxembourg. Outside of the vacations, the house is used for local courses such as yoga or kids activities. There are no events during your stay, beside our family you always have the mill to yourselves.
